A Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO) is a trained professional proficient with the helicopter operations on a rig or vessel, and has acquired knowledge on safety measures required for efficiency of running these operations.
Since the first helicopter operations to oil rigs began a need was realized for a designated person based on the helideck or helipad to supervise and coordinate the safe and efficient movement of passengers, baggage and freight to and from the helicopters.
A helideck is manned by several people to load and offload passengers, baggage and freight and they are additional personnel to man fire fighting equipment. The HLO is responsible for the supervising of the helideck crew in their duties and ensuring that the helideck and the equipment are maintained to the highest standards at all times.
Our HLO course is designed to prepare individuals to undertake the various duties required of an HLO in the helicopter operations environment, and supply a foundation on which to build the necessary experience to competently carry out these duties.
Our Health Safety Environment (HSE) is designed for awareness creation and capacity building on safety compliance standards.
At La Maison Blanc we are well equipped to pass on these knowledge using visual aid and practical methods and our staff are well trained professionals experienced at instructing on different levels.
